New Year, new challenges!
Today's adventure took me over the hills to Leeds, West Yorkshire, for an HP DesignJet repair, specifically a DesignJet T2500.
The customer reported the plotter as "dead" after a power outage at their premises. Even after changing the power lead, the machine remained unresponsive.
Power cuts can be tricky, and in this case, it seems the power supply unit (PSU) took a hit. While these machines are generally robust, power issues can cascade into problems with other sub-systems, although this is quite rare.
Time to dive into diagnostics and get this plotter back to life!

With the new power supply unit in place, a quick test follows, and “voila”, power is restored - the "monster lives, master." Just let it complete its boot process before proceeding with a thorough service and clean for the DesignJet.
