DesignJet T730 Repair Warrington, Cheshire
Introduction:
Embarking on a westward journey along the M62, our team at Hutchins IT Limited recently faced the challenge of reviving a DesignJet T730 plotter in Warrington, Cheshire. The customer had reported a common issue – the machine's struggle to load media. Little did we know that beneath this seemingly simple problem lay a more intricate challenge.
Unveiling the Culprit:
Upon arrival, it became evident that the plotter's media-loading woes were rooted in contamination within the line sensor, a frequent issue with this platform.
The real villain? An aging printhead. As ink flowed through the tubes from the cartridge into the printhead, inlet valves for each color, known as septum’s, gradually become clogged – with the black one being the primary culprit.
This blockage disrupted the ink flow into the printhead, leading to excess ink leakage onto the assembly's underside. Over time, this buildup resulted in erratic ink blobs on both media and the service station housing, culminating in line sensor contamination and media loading problems.
Precision in the Repair Process:
Addressing this issue necessitated the installation of a replacement printhead kit - the HP 729. However, before proceeding with the installation, a DesignJet repair by a qualified service engineer was imperative.
Neglecting this crucial step posed the risk of spurious ink deposition contaminating and potentially damaging the new printhead.
At Hutchins IT Limited, we prioritize guiding customers through this essential course of action.
Every Plotter Repair we undertake is governed by our Total Care Solution – a meticulous 8-step quality control program that ensures professionalism and efficiency in every DesignJet Repair.
Final Touches and Customer Satisfaction:
After meticulous cleaning, servicing, line sensor replacement, and the installation of the new printhead kit, it was time to realign the printhead and conduct the final test with the customer.
The plotter now flawlessly loaded media, exhibited excellent print quality, and appeared to be functioning correctly. However, a previously unmentioned issue surfaced during the final testing – a juddering sound when the cutter engaged.
Fortunately, as part of our Total Care Solution, the necessary part was readily available in our car spares kit. With customer consent, the problematic component was promptly replaced, ensuring a fully operational machine. The DesignJet was thoroughly tested and signed back over to the customer, marking another successful repair by Hutchins IT Limited.
Our commitment to subjecting every potential DesignJet Repair to our 8-step Total Care Solution ensures that each plotter repair is executed to the highest standard possible, with minimal hassle and cost.
